Louise Roe welcomes baby daughter Honor with husband

Louise Roe has welcomed her first child into the world.

On Sunday the presenter posted a two-photo Instagram album announcing the birth of her and her husband Mackenzie Hunkin’s daughter Honor on Thursday.

In one of the snapshots, 36-year-old Louise sat up in the hospital bed cradling her baby and beaming for the camera as her husband gazed the baby.

Louise confided in her Instagram caption that ‘The last few days have been a life-changing whirlwind and the best of my life.’

She went on: ‘Welcoming our daughter, Honor Florence Crosby Hunkin, born January 11th. We are both doing well, and enjoying getting to know each other. @mackenziehunkin and I are just besotted,’ adding a heart emoji.

The other photo in Louise’s album showed her laying back on her hospital bed’s pillow, beaming as she held her newborn close.

Mackenzie, who Louise married in her native England in 2016, also trumpeted the birth on Instagram.

Posting a black-and-white version of the same family picture Louise had uploaded, he wrote: ‘Welcome to the world my beautiful little girl, I couldn’t be more proud of you and Louise. No words to describe how I feel.’

The pregnancy announcement had come in August, with Surrey-born Louise posting a photo of herself showing off her bump in a bikini by the pool as Mackenzie stood behind her, smiling and wrapping his arms around her.

In October, Louise had sent out a post on her blog Front Roe entitled ‘What NOT To Say To A Mummy-To-Be,’ with a laundry list including: ‘Please save your birthing horror story until after I’ve had the baby.’

She wrote that ‘While sharing experiences after a woman has given birth may be something many people choose to do because they can empathize with one another, doing this when someone is still expecting can only add to fear anxiety.

‘It may be tempting to share, but it can be terrifying for a mummy-to-be to have so many horror stories swirling around in their head.’
