It’s one of the nation’s most-loved Christmas films.

And to celebrate two decades since its release, Love Actually will return to cinemas this festive season.

The Richard Curtis classic will hit the big screen on November 24 marking the 20th anniversary.

The star-studded Christmas film has some of the biggest names in British acting including Emma Thompson, Keira Knightley, Colin Firth, Bill Nighy, Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Rowan Atkinson and the late Alan Rickman.

Fans will be able to watch a remastered version of the rom-com in UK cinemas, with other European countries, Korea, China, the US and Canada following suit in December.

The 20th anniversary edition features a 10-minute introduction video of some of the film’s most iconic moments, Digital Spy reports.

There will also be a home entertainment release which includes a 30-minute featurette from the cast and filmmakers looking back on the making of the movie.

Announcing the remastered releases, Richard said: ‘I’m really excited about this new version of the film; it’s never looked or sounded better.

‘And, although I’m slightly shocked by how old I’ve got, I loved the featurette, which is full of new thoughts and memories about the film from all the people who made it.’

Working Title, the studio behind the film, said in a statement: ‘As Working Title approaches its 40th anniversary year, it’s exciting for us to acknowledge our wonderful long-term relationship with the creative genius Richard Curtis.

‘We are so proud of all the films we have made with him and adore how they still resonate with audiences worldwide.

‘Love Actually is a huge milestone in our history and reminds us of how very grateful we are of our continued relationship with Richard.

‘We hope this new remastered version of the film will continue to bring many people together in joy and love this holiday season.’
