A star of Love Is Blind: Habibi has received huge praise from viewers for her ’empowering’ belly dance, after sensationally dumping her fiancé when she insisted she give up her dream career.
The latest edition of the Netflix megahit focuses on a string of singletons from various Arab countries, who head into the famous pods on their quest to find love.
One such star, Karma Ben Massoud from Tunisia, originally formed a close bond with Syrian dentist Ammar Zam, with the pair declaring their love for one another.
However, as they returned to the real world, cracks began to show in their relationship, with Ammar immediately taking issue with Karma’s dream of being a belly dancer.
‘Every person in the world has their own identity. It’s what makes them who they are. They sometimes have to sacrifice a relationship for something important… [Dancing] It’s not trivial to me. It’s a huge part of my life,’ Karma told him.

But Ammar continued to insist that she would have to give up her dream if they were to be together, and in the sixth episode of the series, they decided to call it quits.
While Karma remained cordial during their split, even asking for a hug and a kiss on the cheek, Ammar bitterly responded: ‘I’m sorry, only a handshake. We’re not close anymore for you to give me a kiss.’

‘I really think the best choice a person can make, is to be true to themselves, because if you can live your truth, and love your soul, love will be everywhere.
‘What happened is proof that love is truly blind, but what’s done is done.’
The display earned huge praise from fans, who were quick to laud Karma for sticking to her dreams, and refusing to give them up for a man.
