Tensions reached breaking point on Monday’s episode of Love Island as six islanders found themselves on the chopping block, with one boy and one girl set to be dumped from the villa.
In a nail-biting cliffhanger, the islanders received a text and were told to gather around the firepit where they learned the public had been voting for their favourite boy and favourite girl.
The boys with the fewest votes were Ikenna Ekwonna, Jay Younger and Andrew Le Page while the girls with the fewest votes were Tasha Ghouri, Amber Beckford and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu.
Shock: Tensions reached breaking point on Monday’s episode of Love Island as six islanders found themselves on the chopping block, with one boy and one girl set to be dumped from the villa
After the names were announced, Paige Thorne received a text that said: ‘Only one boy and one girl will be going home tonight. That decision is in the hands of the public.’
Danica Taylor and Dami Hope both received text messages saying: ‘The boy/girl with the fewest votes and therefore dumped from the island is…’ before the show ended with viewers forced to wait until Tuesday to find out who has been dumped.
Elsewhere during the show, Indiyah Polack finally had a heart to heart with Ikenna, with the pair admitting they have little romantic connection despite being coupled up for two weeks.
Later, Dami decided to pull Indiyah for a chat, giving the flirty pair a chance to admit their feelings for one another once and for all.

As Indiyah continued to grapple with her feelings for Ikenna she was keen to gain clarity, asking him: ‘I wanted to catch up with you and just have an open and honest conversation about how you actually think we are?’
She added: ‘Obviously I know we’ve been in here for like two weeks and we’ve been getting to know each other but an observation from me, I feel like I should know more about you and we should connect more.’
Ikenna asked: ‘So you feel like there’s something missing?’ to which Indiyah said: ‘Yeah, but I don’t know if you feel the same way?’
Ikenna told Indiyah he’s noticed her feelings towards his pal Dami, pointing out: ‘Do you know what I’ve noticed as well that you and Dami get on.’
Dami, who has been coupled up with Amber for two weeks, later pulled Indiyah for a chat and asked her outright: ‘Do you feel like we have a connection?’

Laying it all out: As Indiyah continues to grapple with her feelings for Ikenna she was keen to gain clarity, pulling him for a chat she says: ‘I wanted to have an open and honest conversation’
Indiyah said: ‘We get along,’ prompting him to reply: ‘Yeah but do you feel like we’ve ever had a spark?’
She said: ‘I feel like we’ve not been able to explore that and obviously I feel like we do get along but we’ve never actually looked at each other in that light.’
Dami asked Indiyah: ‘Would you like to explore it? Indiyah says: ‘I think you know and everybody else knows that if there was somebody else that I would get to know, it would’ve been you but we just never went down that path.’
A clearly keen Dami told her: ‘I am actually open to exploring you because I feel like I don’t want to just coast in here and I feel like with you it’s just easy for me.’
Speaking in the Beach Hut, Indiyah admitted her feelings for Dami are already stronger than they ever have been for Ikenna, saying: ‘That energy I have with Dami, I don’t have with Ikenna.’
New couple? Dami, who has been coupled up with Amber Beckford, for two weeks, later pulled Indiyah for a chat and asks her outright: ‘Do you feel like we have a connection?’
Meanwhile, Ekin-Su was accused of playing a game after being confronted by the other girls after her beau Jay Younger tells her he senses some friction between her and Amber.
Ekin-Su immediately pulled Amber aside to talk it out, with the chat ending in an explosive argument between the girls.
‘I was sitting there and he [Jay] was like, I think Amber and Paige don’t like you,’ Ekin-Su told Amber.
As the conversation continues, Amber explained: ‘I feel like upstairs, you’ve been really genuine and we’ve seen a vulnerable side to you but I will add, over the last couple of days I’ve thought, is she playing a bit of a game?’
Fiery: Ekin-Su was accused of game playing byt the other girls
Ekin-Su asked: ‘What’s your actual issue with me? All you’re saying doesn’t make sense.’
Amber replied: ‘You’re playing a bit of a game, enjoying the drama’. Ekin-Su questions: ‘Am I playing a game or are you playing a game?’
Things quickly escalate as Ekin-Su exploded: ‘You’re trying to create s**t right now. It’s p***ing the f**k out of me.
‘I’m being genuine,’ Amber insisted. ‘You’re allowed to feel p****ed off’
Heated: Amber explained: ‘I feel like upstairs, you’ve been really genuine but I will add, over the last couple of days I’ve thought, is she playing a bit of a game?’
Ekin-Su quickly retorted with a dig at Amber’s rocky romance with Dami, telling her ‘Yeah cause you’re really secure in your relationship.’
As the girls look on in shock, Ekin-Su didn’t back down, yelling: ‘You’re attacking my personality, saying I’m playing, of course I’m going to say something back to you.’
Gemma stepped in to defend Amber, telling Ekin-Su: ‘It’s unfair to blame it all on Amber, I think some of the other girls have seen a bit of a difference as well.’
‘Why didn’t you speak up then?’ Ekin-Su asked her, only for Gemma to point out: ‘We’re speaking up now.’

The following morning, Amber and Ekin-Su put their differences aside during a heart-to-heart in the makeup area.
Amber said: ‘I was trying to be honest with you. I wasn’t trying to attack your personality but I can understand why you felt like that. Obviously I was taken aback when you said “you’re insecure about your coupling.”‘
Ekin-Su replied: ‘I understand that, it got heated when you said something about being genuine. Dami, that was really out of order but I felt like I was being attacked for who I was.
‘I’m really sorry about that, I do take that back. I’m glad you told me now when it’s early on instead of four weeks down the line. Lets clear the air.’
Speaking in the beach hut after, Amber said: ‘I feel we’ve come out of it getting a better understanding of each other.’

Meanwhile, Indiyah and Ikenna had another chat where they agreed they were better off just being friends going forward.
After being called over for a chat by Ikenna, Indiyah said: ‘I sometimes think the romantic connection isn’t there, sometimes people don’t just click in that way.’
Ikenna replid: ‘Yeah, maybe I’m not the person to give you that. From this conversation, what are we getting?’
Indiyah said: ‘Obviously we still will chat to each other, but maybe a friendship is the route. I’m glad we can come to an understanding,’ before the pair had a hug and parted ways.

Following Sunday’s dramatic recoupling, the new couples were forced to get a touch closer in a food challenge dubbed Lip Service.
New arrival Danica finally gots her way as she shared a mouth to mouth moment with Luca Bish, while old flames were reignited as Gemma and Davide Sanclimenti puckered up.
Amber and Dami also got steamy as he wrapped both hands around her head for a kiss.
The challenge saw islanders transferring ingredients between one another, but only using their mouths.
The boys guzzled a mouthful of ingredients, before sliding across a dancefloor to transfer it to their lucky lady.
Once they’ve got the ingredients, the girls had to spit the contents into a giant cocktail glass – with the winner being the couple to fill their glass first.
Steamy: Meanwhile, things heated up between Paige and Jacques O’Neill as the pair finally had their first kiss
Meanwhile, things heated up between Paige and Jacques O’Neill as the pair finally had their first kiss.
Sitting in the garden just before the islanders were called to the fire pit, the couple started to flirt as they discussed the progression of their relationship.
Paige playfully asked: ‘Do you reckon you swept me off my feet?’
Jacques replied: ‘A little bit, just one foot. It’s just about me and you tonight,’ to which Paige said: ‘What about me and you?’
Jacques said: ‘How we’re getting on. If it wasn’t for you, my experience wouldn’t be nowhere as good. I’m enjoying it with you.’
Paige then said: ‘Yeah it’s been an easy ride for us so far,’ before Jacques leaned in and gave her a kiss as their fellow islanders looked on.
Love Island returns on Tuesday night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
