Laura announced that the couple had come in fourth place, as Tasha revealed she was delighted to have made it to the final with her boyfriend Andrew.

For me it was tough, it was clear that I liked Tasha. When the Casa girls came – it was tough but I had to open myself up and see if there was another connection. But it was still Tasha.’

Tasha revealed they have plans to move in together in London and continue the ‘good vibes’.

Reflecting on his own experience, Davide said: ‘I didn’t expect this at the beginning – I’m with my other half it’s like a dream now!’

Gemma: ‘I came in for a summer of fun, I didn’t expect to leave with him [Luca]’.

Laura asked ‘Did you expect for your friendship to evolve?’ While Indiyah admitted she didn’t see it coming, Dami admitted he thought it was always on the cards.

The live show was hosted by Love Island presenter Laura, who was wearing a striking floral jumpsuit and a selection of pretty flowers in her blonde wavy locks.

Ahead of the result, Islanders are prepare for the night’s ball with a quick professional Salsa lesson in the garden.

They are taught a ‘small class of hot Latin dance’.

Andrew said: ‘Good that Tasha’s next to me because I cannot move to save my life.’

Ekin-Su enthused of her and Davide: ‘Be the best, why not?’

Wow! The number meant she had to go underwear free beneath it due to its skimpy design

They headed out together but not before the boys joked they were once again being left to their own devices, Indiyah quipped to her beau: ‘Don’t get any ideas – Summer’s over Dami’.

Luca added: ‘But maybe all roads will lead to China this time.’

The boys stayed in the villa and wrote declarations of love to their other halves. Sitting in the bedroom the group of men discussed what they were going to say to their girlfriends.

Meanwhile, at their spa day the girls also put pen to paper and noted down their own feelings.

And then, with the villa garden beautifully transformed for the Summer Ball, the Islanders arrive in their finery.

And as they take their seats for the evening, it’s up to the couples to one by one read their declarations to each other.

Romance, tears of joy and emotion abound as Andrew and Tasha, Dami and Indiyah, Davide and Ekin-Su and Luca and Gemma express their true feelings.

While the boys dressed in black tie, Tasha was the first to arrive wearing a form-fitting black sequin dress with a pair of evening gloves.

Ekin-Su dressed in a pink satin dress complete with a thigh-split as she salsa danced with Davide.

Indiyah chose a white bridal-inspired number as she was seen reading her declaration to an emotional Dami.

Gemma wore a long black gown as she walked into the villa and Tasha could be seen having an intense moment with Andrew.

Gemma opened her heart to Luca in her emotional speech as she admitted to being ‘hard work’ and ‘loving their banter’, but otherwise felt their journey had been ‘plain sailing’.

Luca said that he was immediately drawn to Gemma’s smile and although he thinks she is ‘sexy’, he revealed that it was the ‘little things’ that helped him to fall in love.

Indiyah’s speech was equally touching, joking they had gone from ‘two heartbreaks to two love birds’, and revealed she would always pick him – leaving Dami in tears.

Dami choked back tears as he read his own speech to Indiyah, using the metaphor of a car on the road to describe their journey in the villa, how they had a flat tyre and had to park up before starting again.

Ekin-Su told Davide that he was her ‘soulmate’ and she wanted him her in her present and future.

Davide reflected on Ekin-Su’s ‘errors’ but told her how when there is a real connection two souls will find each other.

After revealing he would also say ‘te amo’ [Italian for I love you] when he was certain she was the one, Davide ended his speech by saying the special words.

‘I love your ambition, dedication, the way you care for others and your sexy body’.

‘Our journey has had it’s up and down but we both knew we’d find our way back to each other.

‘When I fall asleep and you take out my ear implant for me, that’s when I knew you were the one.’

Andrew told Tasha that he knew he’d fallen in love with her when she told him about her superpower. As he insisted that she had ‘inspired more people than she will ever know’.
