Love Island: Jack and Laura still not boyfriend and girlfriend

They left the Love Island villa four days ago, declaring they were happy to have found one another.

And despite revealing they are now exclusively dating one another, fans were shocked to discover that Jack Fowler, 22, still hasn’t asked Laura Crane, 23, to be his girlfriend.

The pair appeared on Lorraine on Monday to talk about their romance, ahead of the show’s final on Monday night.

Laura said: ‘It’s been mental and amazing and different. The support has been great from everyone.’

When pressed on their romance, Jack said: ‘We are not in a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship but we are exclusively dating.’

Laura also spoke about how emotionally challenging she found her experience on the show, saying she didn’t expect to cry.

She said: ‘I like to think of myself as a strong girl, didn’t think I’d be having many tears in there.

‘But they ended up being positive tears, helped me grow as a person and learn a lot about myself. I came out stronger from it.’

Jack agrees with the bookies’ favourites to win, saying: ‘I think Jack and Dani will win but I think it would be nice for Kaz and Josh to win as we’ve watched them grow.’

Laura said: ‘I would like to see Wes and Megan win, they’re the underdogs.’

A few people on social media have been commenting on the couple’s lack of relationship status.

They wrote: ‘The other Jack now living in London with other Laura, yet won’t go so far as to call her his girlfriend! #loveIsIand.’

‘Hang on. Laura moved to London, in part to be closer to Jack, but he says they’re “Not boyfriend and girlfriend yet”.’

‘Am I terribly old fashioned or is this a daft order in which to do things?!’

‘So is jack not exclusive with Laura yet?’

Meanwhile original Love Island contestants Calum Best and Bianca Gascoigne also appeared on the show to talk about their experience back in 2005.

Calum said: ‘When we did it, back then it was a huge idea. The production was huge, it was on an island in Fiji.

‘You were fed and bathed and went swimming with manta rays for your dates.’

Bianca added: ‘It was one of the best times of my life. I will always cherish the memories. Me and Calum are now like brother and sister.’

They both said that they were repping Jack and Dani to win, with Bianca saying: ‘I hope they stay together after.’

Something to say: Bianca and Calum are both repping bookies' favourites, Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham to win the show's final on Monday night
