Love Island: Sophie Monk reveals Eden’s ex could join the show

A Love Island Australia fan page has claimed Eden Dally broke up with his girlfriend one week before coupling up with Erin Barnett on the reality dating series.

And on Wednesday, host Sophie Monk accidentally leaked a massive spoiler that is set to shock the strong duo in Spain.  

The 37-year-old revealed to KIIS FM’s Kyle And Jackie ‘O’ that an ex will enter the villa to shake things up among the couples.

Sophie said while she knows an ex will enter, she claimed she wasn’t privy to the exact details.

Radio host and friend Jackie Henderson quickly jumped in: ‘I just realised what It might be! You know how Eden dumped his girlfriend one week before going into the house so he could go in Love Island?’

Co-host Kyle Sandilands thought the idea of sending in Eden’s ex-girlfriend could be on the money: ‘A friend of hers called us and said “I don’t trust this guy, he’s been with this girl and it had been all great and he just said “I’m going to go on this show, Love Island”. So he dumped her.’

‘I’m wondering… Erin wouldn’t even know about that,’ Jackie claimed, claiming the shock arrival of the ex would be ‘genius’.

The KIIS FM producers claimed they had attempted to contact the mystery ex, but had yet to receive a response as they believe ‘she’s in lock down’ in Spain. 

However, in Wednesday’s episode Sophie said no more ‘new islanders’ would be entering the show, which makes it appear as if a past cast member will be returning as the ‘ex’. 

The Love Island Australia Memes page shared an image allegedly posted to Eden’s Instagram stories in March in order to support their extraordinary claims he had a girlfriend on the outside before applying for the show.

Dated 31 March 2018, prior to when filming commenced for 9GO!’s dating show, the Sydney-based prison officer was seen with his arms around another woman.

Love Island Australia Memes added their own caption: ‘When you get caught out for having a girlfriend outside of Love Island.’

For those who doubt the claims, the largest sticking point has been the fact the text in the image was clearly added after Erin and Eden got together on the show.

Love Island Australia Memes shared the post with the implication the caption was added by a shocked fan after discovering the image of Eden with his arms around another blonde. 

Seeing as though his Instagram and Facebook were partially wiped prior to the show, fans have no way to verify the accuracy of the 31 March date added by the post’s creator. 

A few people suggested the blonde in the photo could simply be his sister as the kiss Eden planted on her cheek wasn’t necessarily romantic.  

Over the past week, rumours have swirled alleging Eden and Erin are faking their relationship in order to win the show’s $50,000 prize. 

Channel Nine declined to comment.
