In August, Amy and Curtis bumped into each other by chance at Freedom night club in London, which they also discussed.

Amy joked: ‘Now we’re besties again! Obviously there were never any hard feelings, but when everyone else gets involved in stuff.

‘We sat and chatted for an hour in Freedom, which is no mean for anyone. That’s the first time we’ve ever had a proper conversation without cameras.’

Talking about their time in the villa, she added: ‘I just think at the time, that is the parametre of your life, four walls in the villa. You don’t think about family, work, hobbies, friends, it’s such an intense environment. Four and a half weeks of our lives!’

Curtis added: ‘That’s why people get attached so fast, nothing else to talk about.’

Discussing their past romance, Amy said: ‘Our strength, when we paired up together, we got on really well as friends as well as a couple. When we saw you out, it was so nice just to talk?’

To which Curtis said: ‘Just a catch up, be friends and be normal.’

He added: ‘There’s bigger things going on in the world, you’re friendly to everyone, such a lovely girl, always say nice things. I haven’t got time not to be friends with everyone!’

Amy and Curtis also both admitted that they hadn’t watched back Love Island.

She said: ‘No, I’ve watched clips, they show you the best bits.It was just me crying, the thing is, I take the p**s out myself a lot.’

Amy joked how she always introduces herself as ‘Amy, probably best known for crying a lot’.

She continued: ‘I whinged the whole time [on Love Island], I didn’t meant to, just nothing else to do.

‘I have watched best bits back but it’s difficult, I don’t want to be too negative, I’m not a negative person, I am zen.

‘It is hard to watch an edited version of your own life, you know what actually happened, you cant have a 24 hours rolling show because there’s nobody watching. It’s hard to watch back an edited version of you life.’

At the end of the podcast, a fan asked whether Curtis and former co-star Tommy were still close friends. They were BFFs in the villa and went on to have their own spin-off show The Boxer & The Ballroom Dancer.

Yet Curtis admitted that despite the fact they are still friends, they haven’t spoke in ages with the boxer even ‘pieing him off’.

He said: ‘If you want the honest honest truth… I haven’t spoke to him in ages actually, I got a new phone, lost his number. I’ve messaged on Instagram a couple of times, I’ve been pied off by him!’

Although Curtis noted that Tommy was ‘never any good at replying’, he added: ‘We are friends but we haven’t spoke in a while.’
