Love Island’s Casey O’Gorman CONFIRMS major fan theory

Love Island’s Casey O’Gorman has confirmed a major fan theory after viewers all noticed the same thing during the winter series in South Africa.

The recruitment consultant, 26, did a tell-all Q&A on his Instagram Story on Wednesday where one follower asked him if it was as cold at night as it looked when they filmed.

He replied: ‘Yeah there were some nights which were pretty cold! Especially on the nights where there was a dumping or a recoupling.

‘We knew we were going to be sat around that fire pit for a long time. We had to make sure that we were wrapped up warm.

‘But we didn’t know when there would be a recoupling or dumping so the boys in the bedroom would be like ‘do you reckon there will be a recoupling or dumping tonight?’ and if so we would put a jacket on!

‘So yeah we were trying to guess when it was, but yes it was very cold!’

Early in the series lots of viewers noted the not ideal weather as they picked up on the blustering winds around the villa which could be heard during contestants outdoor chats.

The bushes and trees had also been swaying back and forth as the contestants relaxed in the garden.

One viewer wrote: ‘Why can I hear the wind through the screen?’ while another added: ‘They must be cold because that wind ain’t playing’.

A third fan wrote: ‘Is this Love Island or Wind Island?’ while a fourth quipped: ‘They’re going to have to start strapping down the furniture with the wind at this rate’.

Former Big Brother star Luke Marsden jokingly added: ‘It’s great ITGV upped the wind budget this year’.

Love Island viewers also complained Monday’s final was ‘ruined’ by the ‘relentless’ wind in South Africa.

‘Maya almost got knocked over!’ Love Island viewers also complained Monday’s final was ‘ruined’ by the ‘relentless’ wind in South Africa

Presenter Maya Jama, 28, apologised as the show plunged into chaos, with cameras being blown about by the strong gusts during the live broadcast.

Fans claimed the technical blunder made the episode ‘too stressful’ to watch while protesting producers hadn’t done enough to soundproof the footage.

One wrote: ‘They need to sort out the wind! Its messing up the moment! #loveisland.’

Another added, ‘The South African winds doing the most to try and purge this cursed show from their shores #LoveIsland.’

More chimed in with, ‘These lot are fighting for their lives against the wind #loveisland,’ and, ‘The wind is crazy! They must be freezing #loveisland.’

Others penned, ‘Those fluffy mic covers working overtime in that wind #loveisland,’ and, ‘The wind in South Africa is STRONGGG, Maya almost got blown over.’

Sanam Harrinanan and Kai Fagan were crowned winners of the winter Love Island 2023 on Monday night – beating Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins to the £50k cash prize.

It comes after Love Island host Maya was left in shock during Sunday’s episode of Aftersun after a row broke out between Will Young and his pal Casey.

Farmer Will, 23, and Casey were close friends on the show along with Tom Clare, quickly becoming known as the ‘three musketeers’.

However, the pals came into conflict on chat show Aftersun, where they both appeared live after Will and girlfriend Jessie Wynter were dumped from the villa.

While chatting to Maya, the couple were shown a clip from the ITV2 dating show when Casey told bombshell Maxwell Samuda that he thought Jessie, 26, was putting on ‘an act’.

When Will had originally confronted Casey about the conversation in the villa, Casey had insisted he thought Jessie was ‘genuine’ and blamed the chat on Maxwell, 23.

However, Will was left shocked after being shown the original video of Casey’s remarks, turning around and branding Casey a ‘snake’ as Maya, 28, looked shocked.

In the clip from the villa, Casey was heard telling Maxwell: ‘The more I’m seeing of Jessie, the more I think she’s playing a game.’

‘Honestly, it was one of the most strange interactions, the way she was speaking to me, it seemed like such an act,’ he added in another conversation.

Footage then showed Will confronting Casey about the chat, where Casey had insisted that Maxwell had wanted to speak with him, not the other way around.

When Will explained that Maxwell had told him both he and Casey thought Jessie wasn’t genuine, he reassured his pal, saying: ‘No, it’s got nothing to do with me and that’s what I said. He doesn’t feel she’s being genuine.’

Will then asked his pal: ‘Do you think she’s being genuine?’ to which Casey responded: ‘Yeah, I think she is.’

After the clips were aired in the studio, where Casey was watching on from the audience, tense gasps could be heard while Casey looked uncomfortable.

As Maya said: ‘Sorry to spill the tea like that,’ a gobsmacked Will pointed across to Casey and shouted ‘you snake’ while host Maya looked very shocked.

Casey was heard shouting back that they had ‘spoken about that’ before Maya asked Will how he felt after watching the footage.

Though he was smiling, Will said: ‘Do you know what it is a bit of a surprise. I did go up to Casey and was like “what are your thoughts, tell me?”.

‘I said so many times, look be honest with me, be open with me, that’s all you want in here.’

He concluded by shouting: ‘The boy lied!’

Casey then insisted that he had already told Will about his comments, saying: ‘Me and Will, straight after my conversation with Jessie, I said I felt like it was a complete act. Did I not?’

But Will hit back with: ‘Roll the tapes. Just roll the tapes.’

Not backing down, Casey said: ‘You know I did! You know I said that to you, that I felt she was acting!’

Maya then tried to diffuse the situation as she said they could talk about it after, before Jessie shared their thoughts on the footage.

She said: ‘Honestly if people want to sit there and back and judge me, you can do that, that’s your problem. Will and I are fine.’

As Jessie spoke, Will sassily clicked his fingers in his friend’s direction, but Casey looked unimpressed and could be seen mouthing ‘wow’.
