Love Island’s Cassidy McGill shares tearful message after leaving the villa

She was kicked out of the Love Island Australia villa on Thursday after a failed romance with Grant Crapp and several unsuccessful flings.

And Cassidy McGill seemed to be taking the rejection hard, as she struggled to hold back the tears while sending a post-exit message to her fans.

Looking visibly upset, the 22-year-old said she was ‘very sad’ and ’emotional’ in a video posted on the show’s official Instagram account on Friday.

‘Hey guys, Cassidy here. I have officially been dumped from the Love Island villa,’ she began.

‘I just want to thank all my fans out there for continuously supporting me through the highs and lows.’

As the tears welled in her eyes, she paused and continued shakily: ‘As you can tell I’m very emotional right now, I’m very excited and I’m very sad.

‘But I would just like to ask all my beautiful friends out there to get behind Erin and Eden and Josh and Amelia and show them lots of support because they really deserve it and I hope you enjoy watching them as much as I will.’

It comes after she revealed on her worst moment in the villa, telling Popsugar: ‘My lowest point was when I was taking love advice off Grant and Tayla.

‘That was rock bottom, when Grant was giving me his two cents on my relationship with Dom.’

She continued: ‘When that recoupling [Grant with Tayla] came around it absolutely gutted me, it caught me very off guard.’

Fans have claimed that Love Island is now ‘doomed’ without Cassidy, who many see as the show’s most interesting contestant.

‘Now that Cassidy is gone Love Island is going to be the most boring show ever,’ read one tweet. ‘She brought the drama. We all love the drama. If you say you don’t, then you’re lying.’
