Love Island’s Charlie Taylor returns to his tradie day job

He has been making the most of his time in the spotlight since appearing on Love Island Australia, attending exclusive parties and red carpet events.

But with his 15 minutes of fame dwindling away, reality TV reject Charlie Taylor, 22, has returned to the daily grind of life as a tradesman.

The former rugby player was seen arriving at a job site in suburban Sydney on Monday, wearing a hoodie emblazoned with the name of a glass fence installation company.

The part-time model completed his workplace ensemble with a pair of scruffy black worker’s boots, a blue trucker cap and a wrist watch.

Despite being 17,000km away from sunny Spain, Charlie appeared to be in good spirits as he unpacked several items from the back of his ute.

At one stage, he was seen carrying a large coil of electrical wire in one hand while effortlessly balancing a white bucket in the other.

Perhaps keen to showcase his gym-honed strength, Charlie proceeded to lift a large metal toolbox and a crate of sponges without the assistance of his two colleagues.

Charlie hasn’t tried to conceal his modest lifestyle since departing Love Island.

Last month, he told The Daily Telegraph: ‘I’ve been working about three days a week installing pool fencing. I also do personal training and have continued with my modelling.’

He also confessed to Daily Mail Australia that he ‘wouldn’t mind’ doing ‘a bit of acting’ in order to stay in the spotlight.

Charlie was the first contestant to be booted off Love Island Australia, which was filmed at a luxury villa in Mallorca, Spain.

After his exit, Charlie made a rather bold claim regarding the women on the show, declaring that they only wanted to date ‘d**kheads’.
