Love Island’s Ellie Brown slams ‘gold-digger’ claims on GMB

Their relationships are going from strength-to-strength after their departure from the villa.

And Love Island star Ellie Brown hit out at claims she was with boyfriend Charlie Brake for his £400million pound inheritance during her appearance on Good Morning.

It comes as her fellow co-star Zara McDermott, 21, got her beau Adam Collard’s initials tattooed on her finger in a touching tribute to the 22-year-old personal trainer.

Not a gold-digger! Love Island star Ellie Brown hit out at claims she was with boyfriend Charlie Brake for his £400million pound inheritance during her appearance on Good Morning

Speaking of her relationship on Good Morning Britain, Ellie said: ‘We’re very good. We’re actually better than what we were in the villa. We get on better when you’re not surrounded by people in the villa and you’re by yourself.

During a quiz with her fellow dumped islanders Josh Mair, Stephanie Lam and beau Charlie, Kate Garroway said: ‘A quick quiz, so Ellie you certainly landed on your feet with Charlie didn’t you?’

The group then watched a throwback clip of the Geordie beauty learning about Charlie’s inheritance and hit out about claims she was with her Chelsea boyfriend due to his fortune.

She said: ‘We were already in a relationship when we found it was just funny I couldn’t believe it.’

To which, Ben Shepherd, who was clad in gold sequin hotpants, cheekily asked: ‘But you’re very happy together nonetheless?’

Noting Ellie’s frosty reply, Showbiz correspondent Richard Arnold admitted the segment attracted ‘tumbleweed’ while Kate brushed off the awkwardness by moving onto the quiz.

Chelsea socialite Charlie’s net worth or his family’s worth is not known, the Love Islander admitted his family company was worth £400 million.

However, according to The Telegraph, Brakes was sold to the US food company Sysco Corporation from Bain Capital Private Equity for £2.2 billion.

Meanwhile, Zara has got a tattoo of Adam’s initials, which she had done before his inking.

The government advisor has revealed she has a tiny tat of the letters ‘AC’ on her finger to show her love for her fellow former ‘Love Island’ star, and she went under the needle before Adam had the letter ‘Z’ branded on his hand.

Zara told BANG: ‘Basically, Adam said, ‘You’ll never get my initials tattooed on you,’ so then I, as a bit of a loose cannon, decided to get AC on my finger.

‘So I got that on my finger, and then I was like, ‘So now I’ve got my one, you need to get your one.’

Zara showed off Adam’s new tattoo on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, but kept her own small red inking a secret.

Adam said: ‘So everyone thinks it was me first but it actually wasn’t. It was this one, but nobody actually knows about this one until now.’

The pair have been inseparable since leaving the villa, and Adam thinks Zara is ‘definitely wife-y material’.

He said: ‘I’m branded up now, she’s not going anywhere and I’m not planning on going anywhere.’

Brunette beauty Zara is so confident in her relationship with Adam that if she were in the villa when the notorious lie detector test was going on, she wouldn’t have cared about asking him serious questions.

She said: ‘Do you know what, if I’m completely honest, I don’t really care – I’d probably ask things like, ‘Would you let Zara have two cats?’ Things like that.

‘There’s nothing burning I want to know the answer to. I’m not really like that’.

Adam puts this down to being too honest for his own good.

He said: ‘I’m one of the more honest guys; I’m probably too honest when I should take other people’s sensitive feelings into consideration – I don’t really lie.’
