Love Island’s Francesca Allen puts on a chic display in a black-and-white floral dress as she braves the rainy weather for Ladies’ Day at Epsom

She channelled her love for fashion into her own clothing boutique, Bonnie and Clyde.

And Francesca Allen put on a typically chic display on Friday in a figure-hugging floral dress as she braved the rain for Ladies’ Day at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey.

The former Love Islander, 25, didn’t let the dreary weather dampen her mood as she protected her monochromatic dress with an umbrella at the affluent venue, alongside her pal Maria Wild.

Her midi dress featured a frilled hem, black straps and a matching waistband which highlighted her slender curves.

Francesca made the brave decision to wear sandal heels amid the downpour and overcast sky.

The reality star tucked her brunette locks back in a stylish low ponytail, framing her visage with her curled fringe and soft make-up look.

Meanwhile her friend exuded femininity in a floral midi dress, complete with a pleated skirt.

Maria draped a lemon yellow cardigan over her shoulder as she found cover beneath Francesca’s umbrella.

Fellow female racegoers didn’t let the weather conditions stop them from putting their best fashion foot forward as they also arrived for Ladies’ Day.

Thousands of women brought the sunshine with their finest summery frocks and elaborate hats as they descended upon the racecourse to kickstart the weekend with a day of festivities.

Many were seen getting into the party spirit early, with glasses of Pimms and mini bottles of Moët Champagne flowing.

Women in pastel-coloured frocks and statement jumpsuits arrived in their dozens for the event – a mainstay in Britain’s racing and social calendar.

Elaborate headwear was the order of the day for many, with oversized hats and flamboyant fascinators adorned with feathers, flowers and frills spotted in the enclosure.

This year the The Style Awards is open to both males and females, and seeks out to find the very best dressed racegoers on the course.

Among the top prizes include a year’s supply of dresses from Chi Chi London, a year’s supply of shirts from Charles Tyrwhitt, Jeroboam of Moët & Chandon and an exclusive Jessica Rea Headpiece, plus a personal styling consultation.

It is therefore of little surprise racegoers were keen to pull out all the stops when it came to their looks, pushing the boundaries with outfits that were both creative and elegant.

Cheers to the weekend! Racergoers kickstarted the weekend celebrations early
