Love Island’s Indiyah Polack comes under fire from furious fans as she poses with elephants at ‘unethical’ sanctuary during lavish birthday trip to Bali with boyfriend Dami Hope

Indiyah Polack was under fire from fans this week after sharing pictures of herself posing with elephants during a recent holiday to Bali.

The reality star, 25, was whisked away on holiday by her boyfriend Dami Hope, 27, to celebrate her birthday.

Television personality Indiyah, who met Dami on ITV2’s Love Island last year, took to Instagram to share some pictures of herself and her partner posing with the elephants at a sanctuary.

But she was blasted by her followers in the comments section, with many saying the animals received cruel treatment at the sanctuary, which they described as ‘unethical’.

One disappointed person wrote: ‘This is an unethical sanctuary, the riding, the scar, the skinny legs. Please do your research before visiting sanctuary’s and posting it everywhere.’

While someone else commented: ‘These elephants are so clearly abused the scar on the back leg suggests being chained and there are reports of abuse from the park online, really sad to see you support and advertise this.’

‘Elephant riding is so cruel. You really shouldn’t support it. They were beaten into submission when babies so people can ride them,’ wrote someone else.

Another of Indiyah’s followers posted: ‘Wow shocked that you would take part in something that is so cruel for your own entertainment!!!

‘It is very sad that people still cannot see that this is wrong on all levels!

‘There are people out there dedicating their lives to save elephants from abuse from cruel people and people engaging in it and sharing like it’s ok does not help!’

Someone else shared: ‘So ignorant. If you’re going to go to an elephant sanctuary, make sure that they don’t exploit and abuse them.

‘An elephant should never be ridden or have chains/rope around their necks. Shame on you both. It’s all about Instagram than the creatures.’

And another follower wrote: ‘Please get educated riding elephants is abuse which you are promoting on your platform.’
