Luis Suarez’s heatmap shows that he spent the majority of the first half taking kick-off during Barcelona’s humiliating defeat to Bayern Munich.

Barcelona were destroyed 8-2 in the Champions League quarter-final tie, with Bayern having a 4-1 lead at the break.

Suarez failed to make much of an impact during the opening period, as his heat map shows.

As the heatmap demonstrates, Suarez was barely involved in the overall play during the first half, with Bayern dominating proceedings.

Bayern took the lead through Thomas Muller in the fourth minute before an own goal from David Alaba soon pulled Barcelona level. Following that Ivan Perisic, Serge Gnabry and Muller added further goals to put Bayern 4-1 up at the break.

Suarez managed to temporarily reduce the deficit but Bayern scored again through Joshua Kimmich, with Robert Lewandowski then inflicting further misery upon Barcelona.

The ultimate insult came as Philippe Coutinho, on loan from Barcelona, scored a quickfire brace for Bayern late on.

It ended what has been a hugely frustrating season for Barcelona, who also missed out on the LaLiga title and exited the Copa del Rey at the quarter-final stage.
