Luke Davies’ mum breaks her silence after he was allegedly killed by NSW cop Beau Lamarre-Condon

The mother of Luke Davies has broken her silence after her son and his partner Jesse Baird were allegedly murdered three weeks ago by a NSW police officer.

The couple’s bodies were found inside surfboard bags on February 27 at a rural property in Bungonia near Goulburn, about 200km southwest of Sydney.

NSW police officer Beau Lamarre-Condon is accused of shooting the pair with his service weapon while off-duty on February 19.

Detectives allege Lamarre-Condon’s killing of Mr Baird with his police-issued gun was a premeditated attack after a months-long campaign of ‘predatory behaviour’ towards the man he briefly dated.

According to police, Mr Davies, a Qantas flight attendant, was allegedly murdered because he happened to be in the Paddington property at the time of his partner’s killing.

On Monday morning, Sandra Davies shared her grief on a GoFundMe page set up to support the family.

She described Luke, one of her three sons, as ‘our cherished and most beautiful, kindest soul’.

‘It is with a grateful heart we thank you all sincerely, although these words just don’t seem enough for the overwhelming love and generosity both Luke and Jesse have received these past few weeks,’ Mrs Davies wrote.

‘To all the family, friends and strangers for your generous gifts and words of support we appreciate all of your help during this very traumatic and difficult time and will continue to keep you updated as we start to prepare for Luke’s final farewell.’

More than $75,000 has been donated to the family since the tragedy.

Jessica Vaux, a friend of the family who set up the fundraiser, said she will never forget Luke.

‘The intentions (of the fundraiser) are to help his family in this tragic time and help give him the send off he deserves,’ Ms Vaux wrote.

‘Luke was a larger than life human who touched everyone’s hearts he met. There was never a dull moment when his presence and infectious laugh was in a room.

‘Taken too soon but the memories will last a lifetime. Fly high Lukey, until we meet again.’

The Davies family previously allowed Qantas to name their float at Sydney’s Mardi Gras after Luke.
