And Lynne McGranger has defended Summer Bay’s latest arrival Sam Frost after the former Bachelorette’s acting skills were criticised on social media.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail Australia on Monday, the actress praised Sam for her ‘energy’ and strong work ethic.

‘Sam’s great, she’s got lovely positive energy and she’s a hard worker,’ said Lynne, who has played Irene Roberts regularly since 1993.
She also reflected upon the negativity of social media.
‘Social media is a great thing when you’re trying to promote something but there’s a downside, which is lots of armchair critics,’ Lynne added.

‘But just like in real life, I’ll tell them to take a run and jump!’
Sam, who debuted on Home and Away earlier this year, has faced criticism for her acting skills after her character woke from a coma.
