A die-hard McDonald’s customer has ripped into the fast food franchise after claiming to find the ‘worst’ store in Sydney – if not Australia – after a night out on the town.

Josh shared a video to TikTok of the interior of George Street McDonald’s, in Sydney’s CBD, at 4am on November 15, saying that he just ‘wanted to get some nuggets after a long night’.

What he found as he ascended the iconic grey staircase at the establishment was a ghastly display of leftover food strewn all over the floor, each table and even the service counter.

The bins did not appear to be overflowing in the video, meaning it was just a matter of other shoppers failing to throw away their leftover items.

Despite the footage being shot at 4am there were a number of people still eating at the Macca’s store, chowing down on chips and happy meals aplenty well into Sunday morning.

‘This is definitely the busiest Macca’s in Sydney,’ one comment left on his video read.

‘I’ve never seen a McDonald’s this filthy and I’ve been to so many over in the US,’ said another.

But most of the comments on Josh's video were in agreement that this atrocity had nothing to do with the restaurant and everything to do with its customers

But most of the comments on Josh’s video were in agreement that this atrocity had nothing to do with the restaurant and everything to do with its lazy customers.

‘I feel so bad for people that work here. I was drunk when I went there but still managed to clean my table. Some people weren’t raised right,’ said one.

It’s not the worst Macca’s in the world… it’s the one with the worst customers,’ said another.

A third added: ‘I will literally apply for a job there just to clean because I feel bad’.

McDonald’s on George Street is open 24 hours, meaning there is constantly a turnover of staff with very little time to clean in between shifts.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to McDonald’s for comment.
