MAFS AU: Channel Nine deletes Tayla Winter’s ‘raw and vulnerable’ speech from episode

Married At First Sight EXCLUSIVE: Channel Nine mysteriously deletes footage of Tayla Winter’s ‘raw and vulnerable’ speech from final dinner party: ‘The cast were in tears’

Married At First Sight bride Tayla Winter left her co-stars and experts stunned when she delivered an emotional speech that was never shown on TV.

Daily Mail Australia can reveal that Tayla, 27, returned to the experiment to read a three-page letter at Wednesday night’s dinner party that left everyone in tears.

According to a cast member, Tayla took her fellow bride and grooms and the crew by surprise when she walked in and announced she had something to say.

‘Tayla barely got through the letter, she was crying her eyes out,’ said a cast member.

‘She didn’t tell anyone about it. She just pulled the letter from underneath her dress and began reading it out,’ the source explained.

‘It was a deeply personal letter, and it explained why she would always keep her guard up.’

‘Tayla was very raw and vulnerable… it was a side that none of the cast had seen from her…’ added the source.

‘It was tough for everyone. The cast were in tears and ran over to comfort her.’

Winter’s emotional moment left some cast members more supportive than others, with Alyssa Barmonde and Cam Woods being her biggest supporters, while her husband Hugo Armstrong appeared unbothered.

MAFS producers immediately ran in and told the bride that they were surprised by her speech and applauded her bravery.

While details of the letter are yet to be revealed, Daily Mail Australia understands that Channel Nine decided it was better off not showing Tayla’s softer side, and she would be more entertaining as a villain.

‘The letter changed the way how the cast treated and looked at her… she had newfound respect when she returned to the show for the reunion,’ added the source.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Channel Nine for comment.
