MAFS: Evelyn Ellis and Duncan James gift her ex-TV husband Rupert Bugden a birthday cake

Married At First Sight stars Evelyn Ellis has proven there’s no bad blood with her TV ex-husband Rupert Bugden.

On Sunday, Evelyn, 27, and her new boyfriend Duncan James, 38, surprised Rupert with a chocolate cake for his birthday. 

Bugden, a 28-year-old electrician based in Brisbane, took to his Instagram stories on Sunday to thank Evelyn and Duncan for the unexpected treat.

‘Thank you, Thank you [very] grateful @evelyn.ellis @duncan_james,’ he posted, alongside a photo of the cake. 

Evelyn and Duncan both re-shared the photo to their own Instagram accounts. 

In a sweet gesture that’s got fans buzzing, the two surprised Rupert with a chocolate cake for his birthday. ‘Thank you, Thank you [very] grateful @evelyn.ellis @duncan_james,’ he posted, alongside a photo of the mouthwatering confection

Evelyn also shared a video of the trio hanging out during a recent night out in Sydney.

In the clip, Rupert is seen standing between Evelyn and Duncan, before he looks up to the camera and says, ‘Everyone say, ”I approve”.’

Evelyn and Duncan, originally found fame on Season 10 of Married At First Sight, where Ellis was initially partnered with Bugden and James with Alyssa Barmonde. 

However, both relationships ended during the show’s Final Vows​.

Following the show, the pair began to spent time together and friendship soon blossomed into something more.

They confirmed their relationship in an interview with 9Entertainment​.
