MAFS: Jesse makes a sad confession about his relationship with Claire

MAFS star Jesse Burford makes a sad confession about his relationship with Claire Nomarhas: ‘Things would have been different’

Jesse Burford and Claire Nomarhas’ relationship is hanging by a thread on Married At First Sight after she kissed another groom, Adam Seed, behind his back.

And reflecting on the affair, Jesse has revealed that perhaps things would have been different for the couple if they had met outside of the social experiment.

The marriage celebrant, 30, told Hit Queensland’s Breakfast with Cliffo and Bronte on Tuesday the pair would’ve had a better chance of success if they’d met in a pub.

‘I think if we had met organically, we probably would have gotten off to a better start,’ he told radio hosts Bronte Langbroek and Guy Clifton.

‘I just imagine us being out in a pub in a high-energy environment and just met each other at that level rather than the pressure of a [televised] wedding scenario.’

It comes just days after Jesse revealed he always had a bad feeling about Adam from the moment they met at the MAFS bucks party.

‘It’s pretty disappointing, man. Because he did say at the bucks party, “What a great group of boys. Let’s all do the right thing by each other. Let’s all have each other’s backs,”‘ he said on The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

‘I remember hearing that and thinking, “I wonder if he’s the guy that’s going to snake someone.” And frickin’ weeks later, he snakes me! I was like, “Wow.”‘

Last week on the show, Claire, 31, finally confessed to her husband she kissed Adam, 35, after repeatedly lying about the fateful drunken night and calling him ‘paranoid’.

The confession left Jesse reeling and he vowed to quit the show.

But the couple must spend another week in the experiment after he voted to leave at Sunday’s commitment ceremony but Claire elected to stay.

Married At First Sight continues Tuesday at 7:30pm on Channel Nine and 9Now
