MAFS’ Melissa Lucarelli is ‘broke’ and almost homeless after leaving the dating series

‘I’m actually nearly homeless. I’m broke’: MAFS’ Melissa Lucarelli says she is ‘almost on the streets’ after leaving her job to go on the controversial dating series

Married At First Sight’s Melissa Lucarelli says she is broke and ‘nearly homeless’ after appearing on the controversial Channel Nine series.

The 38-year-old, who was paired with meditation coach and FIFO worker Dino Hiro on the show, left her job as a talent agent to participate in the social experiment and has since not returned to work.

Melissa sensationally walked out on her TV ‘husband’ Dino during Sunday night’s episode, after her TV groom secretly recorded a conversation she was having with her sister.

‘I’m actually nearly homeless. I’m broke!’ MAFS’ Melissa Lucarelli, 38, told Herald Sun on Monday that she’s struggling to make ends meet after leaving the dating series in November

The show began filming in September, meaning Melissa has been out of work for several months.

She confessed to Herald Sun on Monday: ‘I have to look for work because I’m actually nearly homeless. I’m so broke, I’m almost on the streets, which sucks.’

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Nine for comment.

Melissa was left heartbroken when her marriage to Dino did not work out after she discovered he was ‘secretly recording’ her telephone conversation.

While she was talking to her sister, Dino claims that he overheard Melissa repeatedly insulting him and their relationship.

She has revealed she is considering taking legal action against Dino over the recording scandal, telling Confidential she’s already been in contact with a lawyer.

Melissa said that a lawyer contacted her after the episode aired.

While Dino admitted to making the secret recording on the show, Melissa says that she still feels unhappy that Dino received a largely positive edit and was able to play a ‘victim’ role.

An Endemol Shine Australia spokesperson told Herald Sun: ‘Dino was reprimanded at the time and the recording was deleted.’

On Sunday, Mel and Dino both decided to ‘leave’ the experiment and end their ‘marriage’ during the commitment ceremony.
