Connie Crayden expressed concerns over how much time her ‘husband’, Jonethen Musulin, spends on his mobile on Sunday night’s episode of Married At First Sight.

And it turns out viewers didn’t see the half of it, with the 27-year-old student telling NW that she’s convinced Jonethen only went on the show for ‘Instagram fame’.

‘During the honeymoon, he couldn’t stop talking about being on TV and Instagram, which concerned me a lot,’ Connie said.

‘It’s was all he talked about and it was a red flag. I absolutely questioned his motives for the show,’ she added.

Jonethen, 27, has 16,700 thousand Instagram followers as of Monday, while Connie has 28,600.

Cracks started to appear in their once-promising relationship during the first commitment ceremony, which aired on Sunday.

After sitting down in front of the relationship experts, Connie admitted it ‘worries her’ how much time Jonethen spends on his mobile phone.

‘The wedding was amazing, I was smitten. It didn’t take long to figure out that we were from two very different worlds,’ she began.

‘But I have got one huge concern. I really have to compete for his attention – with his phone. I can’t get him off it. It’s Instagram, all the time. It worries me a bit.

‘I feel like it’s not that important. You can put your phone down and have a conversation with your wife. I don’t know, it’s just an idea.’

Jonethen looked stunned, seemingly unaware his screen time was an issue.

Defending himself, he responded: ‘Everyone kind of does it. You sit down, pick it up and I’m a social guy. People are always checking up and seeing what I’m doing.

Making it work! However, both Connie and Jonethen chose to 'stay' in the controversial social experiment, and are looking to the future with much optimism

‘I didn’t think it affected her this much. When I’m not on my phone, we are having a good time.’

Both Connie and Jonethen chose to ‘stay’ in the social experiment for another week.

However, it’s believed they broke up during filming and mutually decided to leave at one of the yet-to-air commitment ceremonies.

Married At First Sight continues Monday at 7:30pm on Channel Nine
