MAFS star Jesse reveals if he had a ‘revenge fling’ with Janelle after cheating scandal

Married At First Sight star Jesse Burford has revealed if he and co-star Janelle Han had a revenge fling after their respective partners cheated with one another. 

The marriage celebrant, 30, appeared on KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O this week to talk about the shock cheating scandal that has rocked the show. 

Jesse insisted that the pair wanted to remain true to their partners Claire Nomarhas and Adam Seed and the experiment and decided not to spark up a romance together as it ‘just didn’t feel right’. 

‘Both Janelle and I talked about [whether] that thought came through our heads but both of us said, ”No,” he told the radio hosts. 

‘The experiment is about being with the person you were matched with and although I just mentioned how I’ve just gone through this rough piece of news, we still wanted to honour the experiment.

‘If we had gone, ”Let’s just do a wife swap”, or something like that, it just didn’t feel right,’ he said. 

Jesse added that the cheating scandal made him realise how much he likes ‘wife’ Claire. 

‘If it wasn’t for the kiss, I wouldn’t have noticed how much I liked Claire. It was my reaction that gave me the message that I wouldn’t react to this way if I didn’t like her,’ he said.

Adam was labelled a ‘snake’ by viewers after he kissed Claire on a drunken night out then lied to his ‘wife’ Janelle and her ‘husband’ Jesse about the incident. 

On Thursday, Adam attempted to clear his name in an interview with Kyle and Jackie O but instead of taking ownership, he accused Claire of instigating their kiss by ‘repeatedly’ trying to separate him from the group on the night they locked lips.

‘She tried to get me away from the group at least three or four times that night,’ he told radio hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson.

‘If it wasn’t for the kiss, I wouldn’t have noticed how much I liked Claire. It was my reaction that gave me the message that I wouldn’t react to this way if I didn’t like her,’ he said

The entrepreneur also said he had text messages from Claire that prove she instigated their brief affair, after she tried to claim the pair was equally at fault.

‘[Claire is] lying through her teeth right now. She’s very cunning so I have to just watch what I say,’ he added.

Adam alleged Claire continued to send him flirty messages after the night of their kiss, and even asked him to sneak away for a rendezvous on multiple occasions.

‘I’m not going to lie, I did sort of lean into it a little bit, but nothing actually happened. She was making a few advances on me,’ he said.

Adam also admitted he felt ‘super sorry’ for ‘gaslighting’ Claire’s partner Jesse by lying to him about the kiss.

‘[It] was really the worst part of all that, making him feel like he’s going crazy when he sort of had a feeling that something was going on,’ he said.

‘I have got nothing but love for Jesse. We are on the mend and everything like that, since all of this has come out. So I do have big regrets about kissing Claire that night and for going at him.’
