MAFS star Jessika Power comes under fire from online trolls after brother asked for donations to help fund dad’s funeral: ‘You splurge your opulence all over social media’

Jessika Power has come under fire from her fans after her family called for donations to help with the costs of her father’s funeral.

The Married At First Sight star posted to Instagram Stories  last week to announce the heartbreaking news of her father’s death in an emotional post.

Her brother Rhyce Power, who also briefly appeared on MAFS, then posted to his own Instagram to announce that a GoFundMe page had been set up to assist in paying for the funeral.

Some people were not impressed, with several trolls leaving angry comments on Jessika’s most recent Instagram photos, which show her partying in Cannes, France, last month.

Many pointed out that both Jessika and her brother appear to make a decent living on adult platform OnlyFans.

‘Sorry for your loss, but at what point do you and your brother think it’s okay to promote a GoFundMe when there are people who literally have no homes or food to eat and you two always brag about the money you make?’ one person wrote.

‘It just doesn’t make any sense. If it was my dad I’d drop any amount of money I had on me especially with a bag like yours’ they added.

One more wrote: ‘Sorry to hear about your dad’s passing but WTF why are you asking the public for money when you splurge your opulence all over social media plus your brother does OnlyFans too? Revolting’.

Someone else wrote: ‘Everyone going mad that you have OF and make good money and you’re asking everyone to pay for your dad’s funeral??’

Yet another said: ‘You’re an OnlyFans creator but still can’t afford you dad’s funeral?’

‘Sorry for your dad’s passing but seriously asking for the public for money to pay for his funeral when you have been boasting about making $110,000 a month from your OnlyFans account…’ one more commented.

The former reality television bride shared the sad news of her father’s passing last week.

She posted a photo to Instagram showing her sitting on her father’s lap, embracing him tightly with a warm and loving smile.

‘Doesn’t feel real. We love you dad. I hope you’re up there having a port with your mates and looking down on us missing you forever,’ she wrote.

Jessika’s brother Rhyce then wrote on his Instagram Stories: ‘Hey guys doing a go fund me page for my dad who just passed away and small donation for the funeral will help’.

Set up by her sister Eliza’s partner Michael West, the GoFundMe page is titled ‘In Memory Of Ezy Halls’.

‘On behalf of Ezy’s family, we have been left completely shocked by his sudden and unexpected passing, as has everybody who knew Ezy,’ he wrote.

‘Unfortunately we have been left without a funeral plan as it was so unexpected, and we would greatly appreciate some assistance to help pay for his funeral, and other associated costs.’

‘We do not expect anything at all but even five dollars can help us to sort out his affairs and funeral costs.’

Jessika told Daily Mail Australia that her whole family were pitching in along with the fundraising campaign.

‘The GoFundMe is to help pay for my fathers funeral as he passed suddenly overnight and even though the family are all donating to help, however a funeral is costly especially when it is as sudden as this,’ Jessika said.

‘My sisters fiancé created the page also before I was aware, so there must be more payments that have been presented to him in order to make the page.’

The call for donations comes after Jessika previously claimed she makes as much as $110,000 per month on OnlyFans.

Jessika who is one of the Australia’s most successful stars on the adults-only platform, detailed her staggering earnings on her best and worst months during an interview on the Playtime Podcast.

‘Worst month is $30,000,’ Jess told the shocked hosts. ‘But my best month is $110,000.’

Jessika previously claimed she was earning more than most London businessmen on the platform.

Sharing a satisfied selfie to Instagram, Jessika wrote: ‘Sitting on a train down to London surrounded by men in business suits knowing full well I make the most money from capitalising on my reality TV fame.’

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Jessika Power for comment.
