Married At First Sight’s Troy Delmege is head over heels for his ‘wife’, Ashley Irvin.
But it seems Troy Delmege is just as smitten with his mother-in-law, Stephanie.
In awkward scenes aired on Tuesday night’s episode of the show, the 35-year-old was seen awkwardly flirting with Ashley’s mum, as viewers cringed along at home.

Due to catch up for a private lunch, Troy called his meeting with Stephanie a ‘date’.
In a piece-to-camera, the IT manager stated: ‘I’m excited to see Stephanie. I did feel like I had a strong connection to her on the day of the wedding… The gene pool is very attractive, especially from the mother’s side.’
He continued: ‘I think she is very attractive. She’s got beautiful hair, it looks like she’s spent a lot of money on the hair to get, like, certain highlights, and the colouring is so unique’.

And Troy didn’t save his awkward and rather specific compliments just for private pieces-to-camera, relishing praise on Stephanie when they met face to face.
‘If you don’t mind me saying, you do keep a very nice figure, Stephanie, you’re in great shape, by the looks of it,’ he stated.
Stephanie appeared very uncomfortable by Troy’s observation, squirming in her seat, before saying: ‘I don’t think so’.

‘I think they say, like, as the mother goes, so goes the daughter!’ Troy blurted out, inferring that Ashley will look great when she’s Stephanie’s age.
Viewers on Twitter were left shocked by a catch-up, which one fan described as ‘beyond creepy’.
