Mail Sport launches new podcast ‘It’s All Kicking Off’ as ex-Premier League winner Chris Sutton and football editor Ian Ladyman team up for unmissable weekly show

‘It’s All Kicking Off’ is an exciting new podcast from Mail Sport that promises a different take on Premier League football.

Co-presented by former Premier League winner Chris Sutton and Mail Sport football editor Ian Ladyman, the podcast will offer a powerful insight into the big football talking points.

The unmissable weekly show launches on Monday 14 August and will be available as audio and video content, with guests from the Premier League and Mail Sport’s stable of elite football journalists.

Sutton, who has played for Chelsea, Blackburn, Norwich, Aston Villa, Birmingham and Celtic in a distinguished career, said: ‘I look forward to challenging Ian on some of his ridiculous opinions and calling others, such as Oliver Holt, to account.

‘I’ve always got lots to say but we can’t have these reporters getting away with their views unchallenged. Some people in the press have it too easy. It’s all kicking off is a great name.’

Ladyman said: ‘I will be doing my best to keep Chris in line as we debate the big stories every Monday. Yes, he played for England and was the British record transfer, but I shall also remind him that he only played once for England and didn’t exactly cover himself in glory at Chelsea. I can’t wait to get started.’

‘It’s All Kicking Off’ is launched to coincide with the start of the football season. The preview show went live this week and the first episode will be published on Monday lunchtime.

Mail Sport will also launch a new 16-page sports pull-out in the Daily Mail every Saturday, called Match Day, in partnership with Sky Bet.

Having recently given away a free Premier League wallchart, there is a Premier League preview supplement in the Daily Mail on Friday and The Verdict – the Mail’s free football magazine – packed with match reports, analysis and opinion – returns every Monday.

Mail Sport’s stable of stars include Graeme Souness, Stuart Broad, Simon Jordan, Nasser Hussain, Sir Clive Woodward, David Lloyd, Martin Keown, Danny Murphy – and Sutton.
