And it looks like Maisie Williams lives by it too after admitting she spilled ending of Game Of Thrones to her mom.
The 20-year-old, who plays Arya Stark in the hit HBO fantasy epic, told Jimmy Kimmel on Tuesday night she knows how the show ends… and she’s not the only one.

‘Actually, I sent my mom the scripts,’ she told the host.
When asked if that was permitted by the showrunners, she conceded: ‘Probably, not actually. They say don’t give them to anyone.’
Kimmel also quizzed her on reports the president of HBO had claimed multiple endings were being filmed for the final season to throw people off.
‘Well, I heard this and I immediately thought, ‘I don’t think we’ve got the budget to shoot lots of different endings,’ she said, before adding in a thinly veiled jibe: ‘But as we know, sometimes presidents don’t always tell the truth.’

The actress recalled the moment she read the final script for the beloved character, who has morphed from little girl to lethal assassin over seven seasons.
‘I was in my bed, I think, just like reading. It’s just surreal, to be honest,’ she said.
‘Being with this show for so long and then it also having the following that it does, everyone is just waiting for this moment and you read it and it’s incredible.’

The Early Man star accessorised with a powder blue leather strappy bag and carried a pale blue denim jacket.
Her brunette tresses were styled into soft curls and parted on the side, while her radiant features were enhanced with a light dusting of make-up.
The smiling star, who waved at fans as she headed into the studios, protected her sparkling peepers from the dazzling Californian rays with a pair of oversized dark shades.

The much-anticipated season eight premiere of Game of Thrones it set to air in April next year and will conclude the final instalment of the show.
Maisie told Metro: ‘We wrap in December and we air our first episode in April. That’s a four-month turnaround for these huge episodes.’
She added: ‘There’s a lot that goes into the final edit. You would not want to rush this season at all. We owe it to our audience and our fans to really do this final season to the best of our abilities.’
Speaking on life after the show Maisie recently told The Irish Times that she worries about finding ‘sexualised’ roles because of her looks.

She slammed the industry’s ‘shallow’ nature and believes that casting agents only want a certain ‘type’ of beautiful woman.
The Bristolian said she thought it was ‘sad’ that viewers don’t get to see more diversity on screen.
She candidly said that she thinks in future she will only be offered certain roles due to her looks and wouldn’t get others for the same reason.
She said: ‘It’s a very shallow industry. And I don’t look like someone who is cast in roles that are, well, sexualised.
‘Don’t get me wrong. I’m completely in awe of Hollywood’s leading ladies. I love looking at those totally jaw-droppingly beautiful women.’
Maisie went on to call for more diversity in the industry, as she thinks it’s a shame that different types of beauty aren’t represented.
Maisie first joined Game of Thrones when she was just 12-years-old and has starred in every since since its premiere in 2011.
She is currently in a relationship with former school friend Ollie Jackson, who she has been with since 2015.
