Major police operation unfolding in Melbourne’s CBD as dozens of cops and fire fighters descend on the area
A major police operation has blocked roads heading into Melbourne’s CBD during rush hour.
Police vehicles barricaded entrances to Melbourne’s court district at about 8am on Tuesday.
Traffic on Williams Street, between Bourke Street and Lonsdale Street, has been blocked in both directions.
Photos show police and firefighting crews are working in the area while helicopters fly overhead.
