Legoland Windsor resort is offering guests free entry  – but there is just one catch.

To mark the first anniversary of the world’s first Lego-themed duelling rollercoaster, Minifigure Speedway, anyone with the name Roxie or Roxanne can enter at no cost on Wednesday 9th April.

But the race is on as only the first 100 guests named Roxie or Roxanne will benefit from this generous ticket.

Those wanting to take up the offer will need to bring a valid ID to claim the free ticket and must come accompanied by at least one paying guest.

The ticket giveaway is in honour of the coaster’s official mascot, Roxie.

Weighing six tonnes and standing at a whopping 30ft tall, Roxie is the world’s tallest Lego mini figure and towers over the attraction.

The roller coaster has become a fan favourite at Legoland, inspired by the great Speedway circuits seen across the world.

Riders are put into two rival teams, the Legends and the Allstars, to race against each other.

The high-octane coaster sees riders make their way around a dynamic dual-track layout in which teams race forwards and in reverse with a different winner every time.

The attraction cost a staggering £10 million to build and is the fastest coaster in the whole of the resort, going 56 kilometers an hour.

Ramesh Ganeson, Vice President at Legoland Windsor Resort, said: ‘Minifigure Speedway has fast become one of our guest’s favourite attractions thanks to its adrenaline-fuelled fun for the whole family.

‘We can’t wait to welcome guests of all ages called Roxanne or Roxie to enjoy an unforgettable day on behalf of the team at Legoland Windsor Resort.’

Tickets to Legoland Windsor start from £29 per person, children under 90 centimetres go free.
