Make-up artist transforms her daughters into different characters

A make-up artist transformed her daughters into a different celebrity or character every day of October to celebrate Halloween.

Michelle Scrivener, 31, from Minneapolis, Minnesota, has used her skills to turn daughters Lily, 12, and Ellie, seven, into Lady Gaga, the Corpse Bride and even Elton John.

With the help of male up and costumes, they’ve also been Cruella de Vil, Morticia from the Addams Family and Winfried from Hocus Pocus.

The mother-of-two did her styled shoots last Halloween when the girls were gutted trick or treating was called off because of Covid.

Her make up marathon was so popular with friends and family, she’s doing it again this year.

Michelle, who owns her own beauty salon, received an unexpected response when she posted her transformations online too.

She gained over 10,000 Instagram followers in a matter of weeks, and demand for appointments at her salon Dead Rose Salon Loft increased.

Michelle said each make over takes around two hours.

‘Of course there’s been positive outcomes from it in terms of business – but the main thing is it’s something to do with my family,’ she explained.

‘We decided to do it during the pandemic because the kids were really disappointed they couldn’t trick or treat.

‘Ellie and Lily would come home from school every day so excited about what character they were going to be turned into next.

‘It really put a smile our faces in a time where there wasn’t much to smile about – and it obviously made lots of other people smile too.

‘This year we decided to do it all over again, and were pulling out all the stops to make it our craziest Halloween yet.’
