Kym Marsh cut a casual figure as she checked out of her hotel on Thursday, after recording the first episode of Strictly Come Dancing the night before. 

The Coronation Street actress, 46, rocked a sporty vibe in a distressed jumper and a pair of DKNY leggings. 

The BBC presenter opted to go make-up free on the afternoon after an evening of glam on the iconic Strictly set, where the celeb contestants pre-recorded this year’s first episode.

Her brunette tresses were piled high on her head in a messy bun while she accessorised with a pair of Seventies style sunglasses for the exciting occasion. 

Toting her essentials in a black leather backpack – Kym kept comfy in a pair of Nike Air Max trainers. 

The former popstar was amongst a slew of famous faces who were present on Wednesday as they discovered who they will be dancing with.  

However, viewers will have to wait to find out this year’s matches as the episode doesn’t air until Saturday September 17.

Meanwhile, professional dancers Amy Dowden and Lauren Oakley were all smiles after filming as they beamed in the back of their chauffeur driven cars. 

Graziano Di Prima gave fans a thumbs up on departure while the show’s make-up artist Lisa Armstrong looked distant as she made her way home.

Kym has revealed she’s taking part in Strictly ‘for the grandmothers out there’ as it was revealed one has never lifted the Glitterball trophy. 

The star become a grandmother for the second time this month after welcoming her first grandchild in June 2019.

Speaking on BBC Morning Live last month, Dr Xand van Tulleken said to Kym: ‘I believe it’s true that a grandmother has never won Strictly before so you could be a pioneer!’

Kym, who co-hosts the breakfast show, replied: ‘I’m doing it for the grandmothers out there.’

The actress said that she was ‘very proud’ of her son David Cunliffe, 26, and his fiancée Courtney, after they welcomed a baby boy. 

When Kym was announced as part of the line-up she revealed she’s wanted to join the show for ‘a number of years.’

She said: ‘I’ve considered doing Strictly for years but the timings never worked out. I’m so delighted that this year they have! 

‘I’m a huge fan of the show and can’t believe I’m going to go from watching at home in my pyjamas to actually dancing in front of the judges in a glittery dress, it’s unreal!’
