SKIN

Before starting your make-up routine, create your own bespoke in-house mini facial to prepare the skin so that any products will sit well. A clay mask will help to minimise your pores and brighten up your complexion.

You now have the green light to start building on your makeup. Choose light coverage foundations and then perfect any problematic areas by dabbing a concealer on top.

Apply a soothing and plumping moisturiser and a primer to keep makeup looking fresh for the whole day.

Light-handedly go over the top of the skin with a light foundation to create the perfect HD-ready complexion.

Buff it in with a synthetic complexion brush or with a complexion sponge to achieve that perfect finish.

Set your finished look with the finest setting powder.

A legend among makeup artists is Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder and Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Finish Powder used on A-listers like Amal Clooney, Jennifer Lopez and Salma Hayek.

If you’re struggling with spots, crush an aspirin into a fine powder and mix in two drops of water.

You will get a creamy texture that you can use to make them disappear in a couple of hours – a perfect last minute spot remedy for a night out!

Eye drops can also be used to get rid of redness, inflammation or spots.

Applying a drop or two can help to constrict the superficial blood vessels in your skin, neutralising all those annoying issues – how else do celebrities’ eyes look so glossy on the carpet?

STARRY EYES

Dab on a creamy and skin tone flattering eye shadow with your fingers to achieve a minimal and beautiful effect, making sure you’ve prepped the lid with a eye primer to secure it.

Use an eyelash curler to open up the eyes – this trick will completely transform your whole look.

Add generous coats of mascara, making sure that you are wearing a smudgeproof/water-resistant one.

Go all the way by applying individual lashes to emphasise your magnetic glaze and place them towards the outer corner of the eye to perfect the cat eye shape.

A secret weapon to reviving mascara and dry gel eye liner is to add a few eye drops and blend in. It refreshes the product and allows you to get some extra use out of them.

Your eyebrows are the pillars of your face so treat them with extra care. Brush them with a clear mascara wand to lift them and give extra definition to your look.

Spray hairspray on a mascara wand and run it through your eyebrows, lifting them up to set them in place for the whole day and to create that dreamy Cara Delevingne fluffy brow.

PAMPER YOUR LIPS

Use a lip scrub to remove any dryness and top up balm to get them in perfect shape. After that create the perfect lip shape using a liquid and long-wearing lipstick like Charlotte Tilbury’s Screen Siren. The red lip will to balance your lovely fresh base and look very high-end.

Clear lip balm can work as a gorgeous highlighter if you dab a tiny bit on the highest points of your cheekbones.

If you want to plump up your lips massage a drop of hot sauce on them: all the spicy ingredients in it will turn up their volume and perfect the lip shape.

Wash it off your lips after a minute, admire your new amazing lips and then apply your usual lipstick.
