Swimsuit-clad Malin Andersson continues to hit back at those who claim she slimmed down with a ‘quick fix’ – as she insists her weight loss was down to a transformation of her mind
Swimsuit-clad Malin Andersson took to Instagram to continue to debunk rumours that she lost weight quickly as she insisted that quick fixes don’t work.
The Love Island star turned mental health advocate acknowledged that we all want quick fixes but for her the most important thing is taking her time with everything.
She confessed that the change in her body has actually just been a transformation of her mind.
She said: ‘It all ties in your mind, your body and your soul, and you can work on one but the other two are still not gonna be fixed.
‘It’s not just like I woke up and I was like “I’m gonna go to the gym,” it was me wanting to go for walks first, wanting to actually move my body to feel better.’

It’s all about the mindset: The Love Island star explained her weight loss is a transformation of her mind
‘It all ties in your mind, your body and your soul, and you can work on one but the other two are still not gonna be fixed,’ explained Malin
‘It was me just wanting to feel different mentally so this has just been a symptom of a changing mindset and not wanting to feel sluggish or down anymore,’ continued the star.
The 30-year-old has been under constant scrutiny regarding how quickly she lost weight, hitting back at claims saying ‘the scales were her biggest enemy.’
Malin says she gets frequent messages asking ‘How do you do this in this time frame?’ or ‘How long did it take you?’ but the mother-of-one explained that her journey started after her daughter Xaya was born a year and a half ago.
‘Nothing is quick in life, and if it is it means that you haven’t done it properly,’ she told her 699k followers.
Focusing on the topic of mental health, the author of Positivity Is Our Superpower said that now when she experiences a trigger to her mental health she no longer blocks her emotions.
‘I literally listen to them, feel the feeling and do something about it.
Whether that’s meditating on it, journaling about it, speaking to someone about it and understanding why I am feeling that way.’
Malin also spoke to her fans about the importance of self-validation and how important it is to change your mindset because you want to, not for someone else or an ex.
Malin finished her motivational speech by reassuring her followers that ‘Everything is a journey, take your time with it all, embrace what’s going on right now cause you’re going to miss it.
Enjoy the process and understand that change requires patience and listening to your body, listening to yourself and feeding your soul with what is good for you.’
