Mama June Shannon balanced her plans for her future with her turbulent home life in the third episode of Mama June: Family Crisis’ sixth season, which aired on Friday.
During the new installment of the reality series, the 43-year-old reality television mainstay juggled her fractured relationship with her children while making plans for a bridal shower.
At the same time, the media personality’s daughter Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson, who is set to graduate from high school in the near future, resisted the prospect of learning how to drive.
The episode began after Shannon’s daughter Jessica, 26, went off to confront her younger sister Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird, 23, following a group dinner, and she told her not to family ‘scare’ her girlfriend Shyann during her absence.
When Jessica inquired why her sibling stormed off during the meal, which took place in the previous episode, her sister responded by telling her that she ‘had the audacity not to tell me you had a girlfriend.’

Although Pumpkin compared Jessica to their troubled mother, they resolved to remain closer in the future, Shyann revealed that she brought pizza to the house, much to the delight of everyone present.
Afterward, Alana, 17, asked her family members if they wouldn’t mind driving her to their local mall, after which they inquired why she did not want to get obtain her drivers license, to which she responded: ‘I just love being the passenger princess.’
Lauryn’s husband Josh later volunteers to show his younger sister-in-law how to drive and takes the media personality out to an improvised obstacle course filled with traffic cones bearing the faces of her loves ones.
Back in Alabama, Stroud informed Shannon that his mother, Mama Dukes, and aunt were heading to their residence that mama dukes and his aunt are coming over, after which Dukes told June that her family was ‘planning you a bridal shower.’
The media personality’s mother-in-law then expressed that she wanted ‘everybody’ from Mama June’s side to be present at the event, and she assured Mama Dukes that her daughters would be in attendance, much to Stroud’s chagrin.
After her in-laws left, Shannon commented that it ‘feels really good to be accepted by justin’s family,’ although her husband took issue with her lying and stated that her lack of truthfulness was ‘why your girls and everybody else [are] mad at you.’
Stroud then expressed that he ‘didn’t realize [that] I married a f***ing liar’ and stormed out of his house before he stated that he was ‘trying to be a better version of myself’ and not have to worry about his wife’s tendency to lie to her loved ones.
Although Justin later returned to the house and made up with his wife, he remarked that ‘if she cannot change her ways, I will not do this relationship anymore.’

The reality television mainstay stated that ‘it’s going to be like diamonds and bling threw up at my wedding’ before stating that she wanted ‘to be feeling bougie’ at the ceremony.
When Mama Dukes reiterated that she was looking forward to spending time with June’s daughters at the shower, the latter remarked that they may be ‘busy’ and unable to attend the event.
Mama June’s sister, Doe Doe, later showed up at the Efird family’s house and revealed that she was contacted by Stroud’s mother to invite her girls to her mother’s upcoming bridal shower, which was planned by his loved ones.
However, the media personality’s daughters shot down the idea of attending the shower, and Lauryn later described her mother’s upcoming nuptials as a ‘money pit of a wedding.’
Pumpkin later FaceTimed Shannon to scold her about the planned affair before June fibbed about her wedding being ‘on budget,’ and she angrily told her mother that ‘I have five kids to f***ing raise and one of them is yours.’
Alana expressed that she was not interested in attending the shower, and Josh quipped: ‘I would shoot myself in the foot to be able to say that I wouldn’t even be able to make if even if I was forced to go.’
The bridal shower later took place with much of Stroud’s family in attendance, although Shannon danced around the prospect of her children heading to the party.
