A 26-year-old man has been arrested after murdering his girlfriend and her 11-year-old daughter in their Florida home last Thursday.
Marlin Larice Joseph, who has been on the run for four days, has been accused of shooting Kaladaa Crowell, 36, and Kyra Inglett, 11, to death because of the young girl’s ‘bad attitude,’ police documents show.
Marshals arrested Joseph at around 11:15 am Tuesday in an apartment complex near Federal Highway and Hypoluxo Road, Palm Beach Post reported. Police say he did not resist arrest.
Joseph, who recently spent time behind bars, and Crowell allegedly had a dispute about the way Inglett was ‘getting along with the other children who lived in the home,’ before adding that the young girl had a ‘bad attitude.’
Crowell died at the scene while Inglett died overnight at St. Mary’s Medical Center.
Joseph had moved in with Crowell ten months ago after serving time in jail for battery on a child.

On Monday Joseph’s mother, Robin Denson, made a public plea for him to turn himself in.
She stood in front of cameras at West Palm Beach Police headquarters and begged her son to come forward.
‘Marlin, son, I love you,’ she said. ‘You know I love you, but please, turn yourself in. If you’re scared to do so, call me,’ she concluded.
Denson had nothing but love and praise for the victims, ‘Kaladaa was the sweetest person,’ she said.

‘She’d give the shirt off her back to help anybody … She was my girlfriend and that was our home. I love my son, but I loved Kyra and Kaladaa, too.’
Police spokesman David Lefont said ‘He is being interviewed by detectives and will be transported to the Palm Beach County Jail later this afternoon.’
‘We also notified Kaladaa Crowell’s immediate family and continue to express our sincere condolences to them and everyone affected by this tragic event.’
Police shared photos of Joseph’s tattoo covered face after last Thursday night’s shooting that took place at the home Joseph’s mother Denson shared with Crowell, in order to track him down after he went on the run.

People in the community held a vigil for the victims, paying their respects to the two females
He was last seen the following morning at 5:37 am Friday taking out money from a bank in suburban West Palm Beach.
Before his arrest the city had offered a $5,000 reward for any tip that led to Joseph’s arrest.
He is facing two first-degree murder charges and was denied bond by a judge during a court appearance early Wednesday.
Family members were beside themselves when they discovered what had happened. ‘With the grace of God, they caught the person who did it,’ Patrick James, Crowell’s great-uncle, told WPTV.
Friends and family held a vigil at a church in Palm Beach Gardens early Wednesday in honor of Crowell and Inglett.
