Man is arrested in hospital on suspicion of murder after body of missing woman is found at house in west London

A man has been arrested in hospital after woman’s body was found at a house in west London.   

The suspect is thought to have been known to the woman, aged in her early 30s, who was found at the property in Whittington Avenue, Hayes on Monday.

Met Police said officers had been called at about 9.35am following concerns for the welfare of a missing woman.

A 26-year-old man was arrested at a west London hospital later that day. He remains in hospital but police said his condition was not life-threatening.

The Hayes murder probe is the 109th to be launched in the capital this year.

It comes after a 19-year-old boy was shot in a drive-by attack in Walthamstow on Saturday night. 

Police said the man was bundled into a car by his friends after being shot and rushed to hospital in north-east London.
