Man, 37, charged after $900,000 worth of ice seized in Silverwater, western Sydney

A man has been arrested after more than $900,000 worth of ice was seized and a secret laboratory uncovered.

The 37-year-old was arrested at a Silverwater park, western Sydney, about 8am on Wednesday, after police claim they found 1.3kg of the drug on him and inside his car.

Officers went on to raid five properties at Fairfield and Wentworth Point, allegedly finding another 460g of ice, ammunition, and a clandestine laboratory in Fairfield.

During their searches, police said they also seized ammunition, more than $10,000 cash, 460g ice, small quantities of prohibited drugs, precursors, drug paraphernalia, a cigarette lighter disguised as a firearm, and mobile phones.  

The 37-year-old man has been charged with drug supply offences.

New South Wales police said they had been investigating the supply of ice in the area since January.
