A British man who has found love with a Filipina woman claims she will ‘cook, clean and treat him like a king’ when she moves across the world to be with him in a new episode of 90 Day Fiancé UK.
Pub quiz company owner Richard, 41, from Preston, Lancashire, has been in a long-distance relationship with Kathleen, 32, from Cebu, the Philippines, for the past four years, and now the couple are planning to live together for the first time.
Kathleen, who met her British beau on a dating website, is leaving behind her family and starting a new life as an NHS worker.
Their journey will be documented on reality TV series 90 Day Fiancé UK, which follows Brits and their long-distance lovers as they live together for the first time.

In this week’s episode, Richard explains he wanted to find a girlfriend who lived overseas because he thinks British women are ‘hard work’.
‘I have always wanted to find a woman that is more traditional than the modern woman,’ he says. ‘British women are just hard work. They take, take, take, take, take.
‘I’m looking for a woman who doesn’t mind picking up my socks.’
He continues: ‘I met Kathleen on a dating website which was intended for international daters. She’s very, very cute. She’s got quite a large head in comparison to her body, but what a great a**e.’
Speaking on the show, Richard admits he is looking forward to Kathleen moving to the UK so she can take care of him.
‘When Kathleen comes to the UK, she’s going to treat me like a king,’ he says, placing a toy crown on his head. ‘King Richard. It would be my ideal scenario that Kathleen would do everything around the house.’
Speaking to his friends, he says: ‘She’s going to cook for me, she’s going to clean for me. I get to wake up in the morning next to her.’

Kathleen’s family (pictured) are sceptical of her partner’s intentions and fear he will take her for granted
Richard’s friend Gavin questions his thinking, saying: ‘She’s coming here and going to be working 70, 80 hours a week [in the NHS] and you’re not?
‘But she’s going to do the cooking, the cleaning, the housework as well?’
Richard’s friend Jenny agrees: ‘I wouldn’t do it. No, I work 40 hours a week and then I’d have to cook and clean and wipe your backside? No.’
Richard is adamant that Kathleen really wants to look after him.
‘She wants to be that. She wants to look after me. She wants to do those things,’ he says. ‘I need looking after. I’m a man child.
‘It’s literally built into many, many people that that’s the job that they’re going to do, and they do it without question… I like that.
‘She’s going to be the rock that can hold me up so I can go off and be fabulous and I can go and work really, really hard.’
Speaking to his friends, Richard (pictured left) says: ‘She’s going to cook for me, she’s going to clean for me. I get to wake up in the morning next to her.’
Kathleen speaks to a friend about how her and Richard took a six-month break when she found out he was seeing other women
He adds: ‘The house is pretty clean so it shouldn’t be too much work.’
One of his friends questions whether the relationship sounds like a fair trade and asks if Kathleen will really have the opportunity to ‘improve her life’.
Richard hits back: ‘If she has an issue, she needs to open her mouth and say something. I’m not forcing her to do anything and I’m not going to tell her to do anything, she’s going to do it off her own back.
‘If that’s a problem for anyone else then that’s your problem… Will you stop breaking my balls. She’s got equality, she’s not a lower human being than me, she is my equal.
‘We are a team. She’s amazing. You’re going to love her. I already do love her.
‘I think I know Kathleen well enough that I do believe that it’s going to be a fairy-tale, I do think I’m going to have a cleaning fairy. I do think I’m going to have my cake and eat it. It’s going to be fab.’

Two friends remain sceptical of how it will unfold and another friend adds: ‘There is no doubt about it, Richard has traditional and maybe sexist views but he also has a big heart too.’
The couple admit things haven’t been smooth sailing. Richard says his girlfriend has ‘jealousy’ issues and has difficulty with his ‘flirtatious’ nature.
‘My night out starts in the day, around about midday,’ he says of his hard-partying lifestyle. ‘We’ll go pub, pub, pub, pub, pub, club, club, club, strippers, more strippers, kebab shop, taxi, and home.’
He continues: ‘I will flirt, and I am going to flirt, and it’s fun doing so. That can be a little bit awkward when at the end of the night the person that you’ve been flirting with wants a little bit more than a flirt! Trying to say no when “little Ricky” is going [Richard straightens his index finger] is very, very difficult.’
Nearly 7,000 miles away in the Philippines, Kathleen lives a very different life to Richard.
‘I live at home with my mum, dad and my brother,’ she says. As the eldest child, Kathleen has a variety of responsibilities to oversee in the house.
‘I also look after our store near our house,’ she says. As Kathleen admits, meeting Richard was never originally part of her life plan.
‘We cannot control our feelings, things happen all of a sudden and we fall in love,’ she says.
‘Richard is very handsome for me, I love his eyes. He is very funny and he talks a lot.’
She also reveals her boyfriend’s sweet side, adding: ‘After two months of talking, he immediately flew here to meet me and my whole family.’
However, her family don’t trust Richard, and believe that he’s only after one thing.
‘My family think that Richard is the same as the other white man who comes here in the Philippines and looks for a sex slave,’ she says.
As she prepares to fly over and join Richard in the UK, Kathleen’s brother Khryss shares his concerns.
‘Kathleen’s attempt to move to the UK worries me a lot,’ he says. ‘Her life would be different.’
Making matters more difficult, moving to the UK means leaving her mother, who has Parkinson’s. ‘My mum has an illness, she has Parkinson’s disease,’ she says. ‘That’s why I do most of the housework.’
While Richard continues to paint his perfect picture of what life with Kathleen will look like, he does acknowledge the bumps in the road that the couple have faced during their relationship.
‘Me and Kathleen have been in a relationship for four years,’ he says. ‘We’ve mostly been together during that time…’
The couple explain they had a six-month break after Kathleen found out he had been talking to other girls.
‘When I found out that Richard was talking with different women I was really hurt and really sad,’ she admits. ‘I didn’t expect that he could do such a thing.’
However they were able to rekindle their relationship and started to talk again – after Richard had a fling with another woman living in Malaysia.
‘During our blip, I did find another hot Asian babe from over in Malaysia,’ he admits.
But quickly, Richard realised that Kathleen was the one for him.
He adds: ‘To be fair, the sex was pretty amazing, but I’m not in it for that. You don’t want to marry the dirty girl, you want to marry the good girl, and Kathleen’s the good girl.’
