A family is in mourning after the body of a man who died in a fire at a Central Coast property was found by his son.

A 61-year-old man died in a fire at Palm Grove, New South Wales on Friday.

Police and Rural Fire Service Crews arrived at the strongly burning blaze about 2.15pm.

A woman has been taken to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The man is believed to have been conducting a back-burn of his property.

His body was first discovered by his son, while his pregnant daughter was rushed away from the scene, according to 7 News.
