A man has shot and critically injured two people following a disturbance in Brisbane on Saturday morning. 

Police were called to a bus stop Goman Street in Sunny Bank at around 7.20am after a man and a woman were shot several times. 

When police arrived at the address, they found a man and a woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. 

The alleged gunman was arrested at a home in Fred Pham Crescent, Doolandella after he was seen getting into a black BMW and fleeing the scene.

The man in his 30s has sustained multiple chest injuries and was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition. 

The female in her 30s sustained multiple leg injuries and has been transported to the same hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  

A third person whose age or gender is unknown has been taken to Mater Hospital with unspecified injuries.

Witnesses allege they saw the gunman chasing the pair before firing several shots.  

One resident told the Brisbane Times they heard gun shots at about 7.20am. 

‘I heard several shots in a row and some very high pitched screams,’ they said. 

When police officers attempted to help the victims, a large dog that was with them bit the arm of an officer and caused a deep laceration. 

Police have established a crime scene at the Goman Street and Doolandella home and examining the vehicle that was seen leaving the scene.
