Man arrested in David Schwimmer’s NYC backyard on trespass and weapon charges … as police believe celeb break-in was purely coincidental

A man was arrested in the backyard of David Schwimmer’s townhouse in New York City’s East Village after police said he mistakenly fell onto the actor’s property.

Eric Rosa, 29, was taken into custody in connection with weapon possession and criminal trespass at around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, police told the NY Daily News. Rosa has a past grand larceny conviction on his record, the paper reported.

The Friends star, 52, was not home at the time of the incident, TMZ reported, which came when Rosa fell from a ledge between Schwimmer’s property and a neighbor’s.

The latest: A homeless man was arrested in the backyard of David Schwimmer’s townhouse in New York City’s East Village after police said he mistakenly fell into the actor’s backyard. The Friends star, 52, was snapped in Beverly Hills, California earlier this month

Rosa might have been under the influence of a substance and lost his footing, authorities told TMZ.

Police told the outlet that Rosa used a brick to break a window in hopes of getting someone’s attention to be physically removed from the area.

The noise alerted a person nearby, leading them to notify emergency operators of the on goings.

The affable actor, who’s been seen in recent years on Will & Grace, Feed the Beast and The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, was inadvertently tied to crime blotter a year ago when a serial thief in the U.K. strongly resembled him.
