A man is lucky to be alive after he was allegedly attacked with a chainsaw in Adelaide’s north-west.
The frightening altercation started at around 9.30pm on Sunday when two men began arguing on the street in the suburb of Taperoo, witnesses said.
The disagreement escalated when a ute belonging to one of the men had its window and windscreen smashed in, according to Nine News.
Shortly after, a man suffered cuts to his hand when the other man allegedly came at him with a chainsaw.
‘It was a bid odd to hear but there was a chainsaw sort of sound that came from out in the street with a couple of blokes going at it,’ a neighbour told the network.
‘So I poked my head out the window… It was a bit full-on to be honest… you don’t really expect that sort of stuff to happen.’
The men, who are known to each other, have been arrested and are being questioned by police.
