Man charged with kidnapping and torture after victim is found clinging to life in bushland

- He is expected to be tried for 17 offences in court in January 2020
A Queensland man was arrested and charged on Christmas Eve for the alleged abduction and torture of a man who was found clinging to life in bushland north of Brisbane.
The 47-year-old was found unconscious near a van in the area of Moreton Bay last June, where it was believed he had been lying for three days.
He had sustained severe brain injuries in the attack which took place just days before.
The charge followed an appeal launched by Queensland Police earlier this month.

Police urged anyone who had seen the Black Mercedes Benz Van entering the bushland in Morayfield to contact them.
The man was charged with 17 offences including: assault, deprivation of liberty, torture, supplying dangerous drugs and trafficking dangerous drugs.
He is set to appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court on the 13th of January.
