A man has collapsed just shy of the finish line during a half marathon in Sydney.
He was racing in the Blackmores Sydney half marathon on Sunday when he fell unresponsive out the front of the Opera House.
He was only 300 metres from finishing the race.
The man was treated by paramedics at the scene and taken to St Vincent’s Hospital, a NSW Ambulance spokeswoman confirmed.

Thousands of people this morning arrived in Milsons Point to take part in the half marathon, where they ran across the Sydney Harbour Bridge to the Opera House to raise money for charity.
Drink stations were provided at selected stopping points offering participants electrolytes, and a water stand was set up just past the finish line.
The man’s condition is not yet known.
