Man comes up with sneaky hack to get more Tinder matches

A man has come up with a sneaky way of getting more matches on Tinder – by uploading all of his photos upside down.

Ethan Woodford, from Glasgow, explained that women would have to turn their phones around to see his snaps, meaning that if they went to swipe left and reject him, they would inadvertently be swiping right because their phones are upside down – giving him the seal of approval.

He shared the light-hearted tip with his Twitter followers, joking that it would result in a ‘bing bang boom match’.

The tweet has since gone viral, with other Twitter users saying they’re going to try out Ethan’s tip for themselves.

Tinder users are presented with profiles made up of a person’s pictures and a short bio, and they can either swipe left to reject them or swipe right to see if they match.

Unlucky-in-love Ethan said his tip would secure him more matches on the app.

He tweeted: ‘New tinder idea: upload all my photos upside down so girls turn their phone to look at them, obviously realise am ugly and swipe left but of course that’s now actually right.

‘Bing bang boom match.’

Earlier this year, Tinder announced a new location-sharing feature to connect lonely hearts.

Dubbed Places, the tool aims to match users who are in the same specific location, like the cinema, or local coffee shop.

Tinder users need to tap the newly-added pin icon, which lives at the top of the main app window, to access a map which shows all the locations you have visited within the last month.

Any fellow Tinder users who visited the same spots will appear on the map, where their profile can be viewed and swiped left (rejected) or right (matched) in the usual manner.
