Police say he pepper-sprayed Kolarik. He was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
White was not charged with a bias-crime however. Speaking to NJ101.5 he said he is not a white supremacist.
‘I’m half Chinese and also an ethnic Jew, so I cannot be a white supremacist even if I wanted to be,’ White said a day after his arrest.
Prosecutors said the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office ‘Professional Responsibility and Bias Crimes Unit screened this and found that it did not rise to the level of a bias crime.’
White was wearing a MAGA shirt with Pepe the Frog on it.
Pepe has become a symbol of alt-right movement. MAGA is the abbreviation for President Donald Trump’s campaign slogan; Make America Great Again.
