Man is charged with assault after punching his housemate in the face in a row over noodles

A western Sydney man who allegedly punched his housemate over an argument involving a bowl of noodles has been charged with assault.    

The housemates allegedly wound up in a heated disagreement over one of the man’s noodles in the early hours of the morning in their Bankstown home.

A 36-year-old man allegedly accused his 35-year-old housemate of knocking over his bowl of noodles in their sharehouse kitchen on Sir Joseph Banks Street.

At around 4.45am the man allegedly argued with his younger housemate before punching him over the noodle incident, the Daily Telegraph reported. 

Police have charged the 36-year-old man with assault causing grievous bodily harm.

He was granted bail and is scheduled to appear at Bankstown Local Court on May 3.
