- Two people allegedly killed at takeaway shop
- Man charged with murder on Sunday morning
A man has been charged with murder after a couple were allegedly killed in their takeaway shop in Sydney’s west.
Hoa Tek Chiem, 69, and Heang Kim Gau, 68, were allegedly killed inside Buzzy Bee’s Burger House at Cambridge Park at about 9.40am on Saturday.
NSW Police arrested a 31-year-old man at Canley Height at 12.30am on Sunday.
‘He was taken to Fairfield Police Station where he was charged with two counts of murder (DV),’ a spokeswoman said.
‘He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court later today.’
In a shock twist, the spokeswoman revealed police will allege the trio were ‘known to each other’.
Sources told the Daily Telegraph police were investigating whether the incident was a robbery gone wrong.
Footage of a man dressed head-to-toe in black and climbing onto the roof of the takeaway shop circulated social media in the hours after the murder.
More to come.
