‘He tried to snatch her!’: Furious parents confront man, 18, after he ‘held toddler’s hand and tried to take a 2-year-old off a see saw’ in a playground

A teenager was confronted by concerned parents after holding the hand of a toddler and picking another up in a busy playground.
The 18-year-old male approached the two children at Mona Park in Auburn in Sydney’s west on Saturday afternoon.
Parents witnessed the man go up to a three-year-old girl and allegedly hold her hand for a short period of time.

He then allegedly picked up a two-year-old girl from a see-saw before placing her back down when parents confronted him in the park.
Shortly after being confronted by the parents, the teenager left the park.
The man’s actions were reported to police who went to the scene to talk to witnesses and the mother of the children.
The mother took to Facebook to warn people about what had happened: ‘Brothers and sisters, today I was at the park with my kids. A guy tried to TAKE THEM.’
‘Please watch your kids!!’
Officers found the teenager just a short distance away from the park at 6pm and took him to Auburn Police Station.
The teenager was charged with two counts of common assault.
He was granted conditional bail and is due to appear at Burwood Local Court on July 4.
